Part of 'Pangolins Ark Open Air Open Studios' at Clissold Park in London, Knitted Chairs was a project in collaboration with Fashion Designer Stefanie Orke. Using found, broken chairs and reclaimed climbing rope, the process takes on an attitude of mend and make do, drawing on times when attitudes towards possessions were different from those of today. A time when people would sew up holes in their socks, or patch up torn clothes instead of tossing them aside and purchasing new ones.

The project went on over the space of one week and a total of six chairs were transformed. The public were invited to join in and learn the process themselves.
